Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik is having a torrid run in this edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) as opposed to his exploits last year. He got involved in a couple of run-outs, one of which happened during the match between RCB and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Monday (May 1) at the Ekana Sports City in Lucknow.

Talk surrounding the Ekana track again started on Twitter because RCB, who are playing their first match here, struggled badly while batting. Only three batters could reach the two-figure mark- Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, and Karthik.

Had Karthik stayed at the crease for the last over, RCB would have added a couple of more runs to the scoreboard. In the penultimate over, when Yash Thakur delivered the ball to Wanindu Hasaranga, he hit it back to Thakur who saw Karthik going for a run.

Thakur wasted no time and threw the ball toward Karthik’s end who could also be seen slipping while reaching the crease. Karthik lost his wicket for 16 runs off 11 balls.
