West Indies’ Nicholas Pooran doesn’t shy away from expressing himself after his exploits with the bat. After West Indies pulled off a series victory 3-2 against India, Pooran took to his social media to take a cheeky dig at Hardik Pandya. West Indies defeated India by eight wickets on Sunday (August 13) at the Central Broward Regional Park in Lauderhill, Florida.
For the unversed, Pandya, earlier in the series said this: “If Nicky wants to hit, let him hit me and that was the plan. I enjoy such a competition. I know he is going to hear this and will come hard at me in the fourth T20I.”
But Pooran did not go hard in the fourth T20I as he scored just one run. But he took his revenge when he smashed two sixes off Pandya’s delivery from two consecutive balls in the fifth T20I. This happened in the third over of West Indies‘ chase.
After the match, Pooran shared a screenshot of a social media post, taking a cheeky dig at Pandya. The post was from a news website that reminded the fans about Pandya’s words and their aftereffects.
