“There has been no problem” – CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan amid rift with Ravindra Jadeja after player released on Medical advice
Ravindra Jadeja
This IPL season has gone from bad to worse for Ravindra Jadeja. The player first lost his form, then the captaincy and has now been ruled out of Chennai’s remaining 3 games due to injuries. And if this wasn’t enough, reports claiming that CSK unfollowed Jadeja on Instagram have only added more drama for the under-performing Chennai Super Kings. Chennai Super Kings face Mumbai Indians in a do-or-die match tonight at the Wankhede Stadium. But won’t have Jadeja with them, on the pitch or dressing room.
There has been a lot of speculation going on between CSK team management and Ravindra Jadeja. Many fans believe that Jadeja was reportedly stripped of the captaincy for poor results rather than him stepping down voluntarily. Sources also believe that medical advice is just a cover to drop Jadeja from the starting XI and the player isn’t as injured as being told by the team management.

Kasi Viswanathan addresses the situation regarding Ravindra Jadeja and his injury
The CSK CEO in a statement read, “Jaddu had an injury during the game against RCB and after that he didn’t play the game against Delhi Capitals. On medical advice, it has been decided that he cannot participate further in this IPL and he is heading back home. He has been released.”
When asked about the ongoing rift between the player and team management, Viswanathan further said, “Social media, I do not follow anything. I do not know what is going on there. I can tell you that from the management side, there has been no problem, and whatever is there on social media, I’m not aware.”
While the CSK CEO claimed that Ravindra Jadeja will continue to be included in CSK’s ‘Scheme of things’, fans are not ready to believe that there is no rift between the player and management. However, the remaining CSK squad must not let this affect them as they prepare to face the Mumbai Indians tonight. Chennai is mathematically still in the race to finish top 4 in the tournament. However, while the feat remains unlikely, MS Dhoni’s men will not back down until it’s impossible.
