Indian cricket fans eagerly wait for the world’s biggest cricketing league – the Indian Premier League (IPL). People across India either glue themselves to their screens from 7:30 PM to 11 PM or they’re seen watching the match highlights of their favorite teams again and again. Such is a craze! But exclude a woman from this.
That woman was sitting in the stands of the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium during Royal Challengers Bengaluru‘s (RCB) match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). But instead of watching what was happening and cheering for her favorite team, she was hooked to her screen, watching a legendary American sitcom.
The sitcom, Friends, aired on TV around 20 years ago and continues to have a massive fan base. The fast-paced dialogues, the humor, the sarcasm, and some emotional moments, have made the show one of the best.
So instead of enjoying RCB’s match, that too at the Chinnaswamy, left another fan completely confused. He shared a picture on X where that woman could be seen enjoying the show instead of focusing on the proceedings in front of her.

Faf du Plessis explains what went wrong
RCB has lost two matches on the trot. They started their campaign with a defeat to Chennai Super Kings and after a win over Punjab Kings, they lost two back-to-back matches, first against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and then to LSG.
LSG pacer Mayank Yadav demolished RCB’s batting line-up with three scalps. During his spell, he even bowled the fasted delivery of IPL 2024. After the loss by 28 runs, RCB skipper Faf du Plessis explained what went wrong.
I didn't think we were very good with our bowling, especially in the powerplay, Maxwell brought it back and there were some pleasing signs in the death overs. You need two guys to bat through and get a partnership which we were not able to do. We need the strong characters in the dressing room to put their hand up.Faf du Plessis said after the match
RCB will next face Rajasthan Royals on April 6. They are currently eighth on the points table with two points from four matches.
