“Not surprised by the hate,” Robin Uthappa shuts down trolls he received for supporting CSK
A user also pointed out that despite playing for KKR for so many seasons, Uthappa is biased towards CSK.

Former India cricketer Robin Uthappa who played for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) as well as Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League, said he is not surprised by the hate he received for supporting CSK in IPL 2023. Notably, as MS Dhoni-led CSK took on defending champions Gujarat Titans (GT) in IPL 2023 Qualifier 1, Uthappa shared a picture of himself in the CSK jersey.
However, this picture of Robin Uthappa and his support for CSK did not sit well with some Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) fans. A user also pointed out that despite playing for KKR for so many seasons, Uthappa is biased towards CSK. “Bro played one-two seasons with Chennai and sold his soul. I have never seen him supporting Kkr like this,” replied the user on Uthappa’s tweet.
The former cricketer was quick to post a reply. “Loyalty and respect is a give and take my friend!!” wrote Uthappa.

This reply from Uthappa triggered the KKR fans who then bombarded the comment section with abuses. A few blamed Uthappa for KKR’s losses in 2019. “Just like you made sure KKR doesn’t qualify in 2019 by making each game slow so that they lose. Your Loyalty was seen after playing for a franchise for 6 Years,” claimed one of the users.
Robin Uthappa wishes for peace!

After these abusive comments, Uthappa shared another tweet wherein he said that he was not surprised to see such comments. “I’m not surprised by the hate I’m receiving here for what has been MY experience. Peace and love to you all!!” tweeted Uthappa.
The former India cricketer got support from budding cricketer Irfan Pathan who asked Uthappa to focus on love. “Hate ko hata mere bhai. Bas pyaar ko dekh,” suggested Pathan. To this, the cricketer-turned-commentator posted a beautiful reply. “Zindagi toh pyaar se bara pada hai mere bhai!!? ♥️ and only Love can overcome hate!!” replied Uthappa.
