“A spell to remember”- Obed McCoy shines with 6 wickets as West Indies bundle out India on 138

After a successful first T20I, India didn’t score quite much in the second as Obed McCoy’s six-wicket haul sent them all back to the dressing room on just a mere 138. The match is taking place at Warner Park on Monday, August 1.
West Indies had won the toss and chose to bowl. Indian openers Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav, after coming out to bat, soon departed with all the credit to Obed McCoy. He first dismissed Rohit on golden duck with a good length delivery. Rohit lifted his blade to block it out but instead got a thick outside edge and the ball went towards the fielder at third man. Akeal Hosein caught it over his head.
When McCoy bolwed a full ball which angled across Yadav, the latter tried to drove it but managed to get a thick outside edge and Devon Thomas made no mistake and caught it.
Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant scored 10 runs and 24 runs respectively. Alzarri Joseph dismissed the former while Pant became a victim to Akeal Hosein’s delivery.
Only Hardik Pandya could get past 30 runs. He hit a boundary and two sixes to score 31 runs off 31 balls before Jason Holder bowled a short ball which made Pandya pull it but it hit straight towards Odean Smith.
Ravindra Jadeja too tried to revive India’s innings but he could score only 27 runs off 30 balls before the star of first innings, McCoy sent him back too. McCoy then dismissed Dinesh Karthik, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. India were all sent back to the dressing room on 138. McCoy scalped six wickets, bowled a maiden over and conceded just 17 runs in his four overs.
