Pak PM Shehbaz Sharif takes a dig at India after their T20 World Cup exit

Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif took a dig at India after their T20 World Cup exit. They posted 168/6 on the scoreboard, which English openers Jos Buttler and Alex Hales chased down with four overs to spare without losing their wickets.

In the last year’s T20 World Cup, a similar thing happened when Pakistan reached the 152-run target owing to Babar Azam’s 68 and Mohammad Rizwan’s 79. In both matches in the T20 World Cup, India lost by 10 wickets. After their defeat yesterday against England, Pakistan PM Sharif took a dig at India by tweeting, “So, this Sunday, it’s 152/0 vs 170/0.”

Check his post below:

In last year’s match, Virat Kohli scored 57 runs from 49 balls, while Rishabh Pant scored 39 off 30 deliveries. Other than these two batters, no one in the batting-line up was able to face Pakistan’s bowling attacks. Shaheen Afridi broke India’s back by dismissing three batters.

India vs England match recap

Shehbaz Sharif
England defeated India by 10 wickets

Coming to the match against England, Jos Buttler won the toss and decided to field first. Apart from Virat Kohli‘s 50 and Hardik Pandya‘s 63, other batters failed to add much.

While chasing, Alex Hales smashed 86* off 47, while Buttler finished on 80* off 49 balls and reached the target with ease. England will now face Pakistan in the final which is set to take place on Sunday [November 13] at the MCG in Melbourne. It will be a rerun of the 1992 World Cup and England will be eyeing revenge.

Pakistan’s road to the final was rather a rollercoaster ride. Rohit Sharma and Co. defeated them by four wickets in their campaign opener, while Zimbabwe shocked them by one run in their next match. They outclassed the Netherlands and South Africa and heavily depended on other teams’ results to reach the semi-final.

When the Dutch knocked the Proteas out of the tournament, Pakistan’s hope was revived. They defeated Bangladesh in their last match of the Super 12s and qualified for the semi-final. After outclassing New Zealand in the first semi-final, the Men in Green finally reached the final.
