Virat Kohli is known for his aggression on the field. And though his aggression has often led to controversy, Kohli is still one of the most respected cricketers right now for his contributions to the game.

Pakistani pacer Naseem Shah was asked about Kohli recently on a news channel. Shah said that though Kohli is passionate on the field, he is a humble person off the field.

Kohli is not involved in any cricketing activities because due to personal reasons, he withdrew his name from the five-match Test series against England. Shah on the other hand made a comeback after undergoing surgery in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) where he plays for Islamabad United.

Naseem Shah recalls first meeting with Virat Kohli

Naseem Shah faced Virat Kohli for the first time during the 2022 Asia Cup in the UAE. Ahead of Shah’s first PSL match, he recalled the time when he met India for the first time in Dubai.

When Virat Kohli came into bat, I thought he would go hard. So, I bowled an in-swinger hoping that it might catch his pad, but he let it go. The next delivery, I bowled an out-swinger that caught the edge, but yeah, the catch got dropped.
Shah said on the Islamabad United podcast

Shah also said that he was naturally nervous during the India versus Pakistan match in the Asia Cup which was also his debut match in T20I, but his experience in ODIs and Tests helped him calm his nerves.
