Roger Federer and Sachin Tendulkar are the two legendary sportspersons the world have witnessed in modern times. Tendulkar is an ardent fan of tennis because he loves being in the court to watch the matches. When he was asked about who his favourite tennis player is, his answer was Roger Federer, one of the greatest of all time. He has never never hidden his admiration for the tennis great; met him and even asked for suggestion on how to play a forehand.

One of Federer’s super fan Sunita Sigtai shared her most earliest and unique memories while watching a match at Wimbledon. Wimbledon will soon start from June 27- July 10 and their official social media handles shared fans’ videos about their memorable events at Wimbledon. Sunita said that when she saw cricket great watching the tennis great , it felt like one of the unique moment she has witnessed. Read her story below.

“Well my earliest memory is camping in the skyline in the night without any tent, under the umbrella. It was raining, pouring so yeah that was my earliest memory way back in 2008 when I visited there for the first time. My grandfather used to play tennis. We were a sports crazy family, always following cricket as well as tennis so that’s how I was introduced.”

“Well for me unique moment was when I saw Sachin watching Roger like I’ve been seeing him since years. He comes to watch Roger play specifically. So that was a you know, unique moment when Sachin walked into the royal box and he was cheering for Roger and I was cheering in the stands for Sachin as well as Roger, so that was a unique moment for me.”

“The most precious possession of mine, it was in 2011…Sachin was watching Roger and I could manage to take a good shot and when I printed it, it was like a good picture and Sachin was coming to play at Eden Gardens. So, I managed to catch him in the hotel before the match started. Two days before they were going for the warm-up and practice and stuff. So yeah, I remember Sachin was like walking out and I rolled out the picture in front of him and he was so curious, he put down his kit and everything and he doesn’t talk much you know, Sachin is like very quiet so I told him that Sachin I clicked this picture of yours while you were watching Roger at Wimbledon, so he turned the picture and he signed where his picture was at the Royal box, he and Anjali both of them were there. And yeah, I gifted Sachin the same picture,” Sunita added.
