India youngster Prithvi Shaw once again shared a cryptic post on his official social media handle on Thursday. This time, through an Instagram story, he shared how loyalty between people ends once the benefit stops. And this has left the fans baffled as they are scratching their heads at what Shaw meant by this.
“Some people will only love you, as much as they can use you. Their loyalty ends where the benefits stop,” Shaw wrote in his Instagram story. Though it might be targeted at Shaw’s close people who left him in difficult times, so far nothing has been confirmed yet.
Shaw was once considered to be the next big thing in Indian cricket. But due to behavioral issues, he has been kept on the sidelines. He was even banned for eight months due to doping in 2019 and reportedly failed the yo-yo test last year at the National Cricket Academy (NCA). In 2020, he made headlines when Delhi Capitals coach, Ricky Ponting revealed that Shaw refused to practice in the nets.
Recently he got involved in an altercation with social media influencer Sapna Gill and some of her friends. Shaw accused Gill of breaching his personal space, but Gill pressed charges of molestation on him. The police later arrested Gill and her friends.
Prithvi Shaw will be next seen in action in IPL 2023
He just played a lone T20I match for India against Sri Lanka back in 2021. Last month, he was selected for the squad in a T20I series against New Zealand after a series of brilliant knocks in domestic cricket. However, he didn’t make it to the playing XI in any of the matches.
He made his debut for India in a Test match against West Indies and went on to play five red-ball cricket so far, scoring 339 runs, with the highest score of 134. He has a century and two half-centuries in Tests. He played six ODIs after making his debut in 2020 against New Zealand. That lone T20I was his last game where he batted for India.
He represents the Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and will be next seen in action when DC will open their campaign against Lucknow Super Giants on April 1, 2023.
