Prithvi Shaw shares hilarious Avengers meme to make fun of Yashasvi Jaiswal’s innings

Yesterday, on Thursday, something unusual incident happened. It was when Mumbai’s Yashasvi Jaiswal scored his first run off 54th ball against Uttar Pradesh in Ranji Trophy, became a talk of the town.
The 22-year-old shared an Instagram story on Thursday. It was a screenshot from the poplular Hollywood film ‘The Avengers: Infinity War‘ meme to describe the hilarious incident happened with teammate Yashasvi Jaiswal and about their partnership.
Jaiswal didn’t score a single run in Mumbai’s 66-run opening partnership in the second innings. 64 runs were scored by Shaw alone at a strike rate of 90. He remained naught when Shaw got dismissed for 64 off 71 balls in the 21st over.

But when the 20-year-old Jaiswal finally scored a run, the moment made the players and fans in spilts. On 54th ball, the left-hander hit a boundary off pacer Ankit Rajpoot and the entire Mumbai dressing room stood up to applaud, not his half-century or century, but his four runs. Not only his teammates, even some UP players clapped their hands and when Jaiswal saw the funny side of hit, he raised his bat. Jaiswal remained unbeaten on 35 runs off 114 balls.

Meanwhile, this isn’t for the first time when a player was applauded for scoring his first runs. Even the the wall of India Rahul Dravid, during India’s tour of Australia in 2008, received a standing oviation from crowd in Sydney when he opened his account on the 40th ball.
Mumbai’s brilliant bowling bowled out Uttar Pradesh for a mere 180. After Day 3, Mumbai finished at 133 for 1.
