West Indies all-rounder Rahkeem Cornwall blasted an unbeaten T20 double ton on October 5 in America’s T20 competition- Atlantic Open. With 22 sixes and 17 fours, he scored 205* runs with a whopping strike rate of 266.77 that propelled his team, Atlanta Fire, to reach a massive score of 326/1 in 20 overs. Square Drive in response could post only 154/7 and endured a 172-run defeat.
Because Atlanta Open is not a recognized tournament, Cornwall’s record will not get the chance into the history books. Chris Gayle‘s 175 runs in 2013 for the Royal Challengers Bangalore remains the highest T20 score to date. Atlanta Open has 16 teams that are divided into four groups. Prize money of $75,000 will be given to the winning team.
