Zimbabwe legend Heath Streak did not like the fake rumors surrounding his death at all. Fans on social media, after sharing their condolences at first, realized that Streak did not die, and started sharing memes. They got informed about the misinformation after Streak’s former teammate Henry Olonga shared a WhatsApp chat between him and Streak on X. Steak has been battling cancer.
Streak was declared dead by an X user and the news spread like wildfire on the platform. It made even cricketers its victims and condolences poured from them for Streak’s family.
India’s veteran all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin was one among those who thought Streak was dead. But after the Zimbabwean expressed how it distressed him knowing the world thought him dead, Ashwin took to his X account and apologized.
“I saw Henry Olonga’s tweet and mourned it too. It came from a place of utter disbelief and sadness,” he wrote on his X account. “Deleted that tweet but glad to know that you are doing fine. @HeathStreak Take care and apologies for the inaccurate tweet from my side,” he added.

Ravichandran Ashwin feels India don’t have middle-order conundrum

The veteran all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin doesn’t feel India has a middle-order conundrum. Many experts and fans have raised the question about who among the batters are well suited for the No.4 and No.5 spot in the playing XI after MS Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh‘s retirement.
Even captain Rohit Sharma expressed his frustration that India have not been able to find a player to fill the positions. But Ashwin said that as long as Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul are in the playing XI, India don’t have to think hard. He praised both Rahul, saying he “has filled that slot with expertise,” on his YouTube channel.
India will start their Asia Cup campaign on September 3 in Kandy against Pakistan. The continental tournament will begin on August 30 with a match between Pakistan and Nepal.
