“Once IPL gets over, put a cloth, move on,” Ravichandran Ashwin believes IPL fanwars create outrage and defends selection of Tilak Varma and Suryakumar Yadav
Ashwin believes fans should support Team India and not their IPL teams.

Ravichandran Ashwin recently did an analysis of the Indian Asia Cup Squad on his Youtube channel. He spoke about the Indian squad and spoke about how he thinks the team will fare in the upcoming Asia Cup
In the video, he defended the selections of Suryakumar Yadav who’s had a terrible run in ODIs so far and Tilak Varma, who earned his maiden call-up to the ODI team after impressive performances against West Indies. “The selectors know what they are doing. In a huge country like India, when you select a squad, there will be some key players who will be missing the cut. So, just because your favourite is not there in the squad, you should not degrade the others.” said Ashwin
Ashwin thinks Tilak Varma brings a much needed freshness into the team, and says although he isn’t scoring runs, he brings an X factor that the team requires. He then defended Suryakumar Yadav by saying everyone knows everyone knows how good a player he is seeing his performances in the T20I team. Ashwin says he is a matchwinner and will have a great impact.
Ravichandran Ashwin believes IPL fanwars is the reason behind the outrage
Ashwin blamed the IPL fanwars happening as the cause of the outrage. Ashwin asked if a non-Mumbai Indians fan would not root for Suryakumar Yadav. He says even if the fan doesn’t support MI, they would want Suryakumar Yadav to do well.
“When you get into the World Cup, we should see all our players as representatives of India. Once IPL gets over, put a cloth, move on, and once the player plays for India, accept that he played really well in the IPL. Fans are engaging in war even after IPL,” said Ashwin.
