MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja

Indian star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has ended months of alleged rifts with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by uploading a picture of himself and captain MS Dhoni on his Instagram handle. The post came on deadline day after the franchise officially retained him for IPL 2023.

Jadeja captioned: “Everything is fine. #RESTART.”. The post is doing the rounds on the internet. With this post, it’s clear that everything is fine between both the parties. Jadeja has put the past behind him and is ready for a fresh start with the Chennai-based franchise.

News of the rift first surfaced after the all-rounder left the camp following his injury in IPL 2022. Earlier, he was asked to hand over the captaincy duties back to MS Dhoni as the team failed miserably to perform. Reportedly, this didn’t settle well with the cricketer and he was planning to leave the franchise.

Ravindra Jadeja has been suffering from injuries for a while now. He even missed the T20 World Cup 2022 due to a knee injury, which required surgery. However, he has regained fitness and will be in action in India’s next assignment against New Zealand.

Speaking of CSK’s preparations, the Yellow Army released Dwayne Bravo, who has contributed immensely in the past decade. He is already 39 and way past his prime. Hence, the franchise will be looking to find a suitable replacement for him who can serve in the long term.
