Ritika Sajdeh believes there are ‘many things WRONG’ with Mark Boucher’s view on Rohit Sharma’s removal as Mumbai Indians captain

On December 15th, Hardik Pandya was appointed as the captain of Mumbai Indians, replacing 5-time IPL winning captain Rohit Sharma. Many fans were enraged by the move, as Sharma was a reason many started supporting the team. Some did wonder why the move even happened, as the 37-year old was integral to MI’s success. 

Mark Boucher, the head coach of the team, explained why they had made the decision to make Pandya the new captain. He explained how it was a transition phase and they wanted to take some pressure off Sharma to bring the best out of him as a player.

I think it was purely a cricketing decision. We saw the window period to get Hardik back as a player. For me, it's a transition phase. I think it's just more of a cricketing decision that was made and I do think it is going to bring the best out of Rohit as a person as a player.

Just let him go out and enjoy and score some good runs. It is that he walks into a place and there's just cameras in it and he's so busy and he hasn't had probably the best couple of seasons of late with the bat but he's done well as a captain. 
He added

The interview in which Boucher explained the move was uploaded on Instagram. Seeing it, Ritika Sajdeh left a comment in which she claimed there were “so many things wrong with this….”.

Many fans reacted to Ritika Sajdeh’s comment on the interview. Many joked on how she began the PR activities as he got removed. Some were happy with the problems in the team.

Sharma was appointed as Mumbai Indians captain in between the 2013 IPL. He won the team five IPLtitles in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2020.
