Riyan Parag represents the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL). His performances as well as his attitude often drew criticism from fans and his failure with the bat means social media fans’ fury. They come up with all sorts of memes to mock the youngster.

Parag also features for the East Zone in the Deodhar Trophy and has played some brilliant innings in some matches. In a recent interview, Parag blasted his critics who have assumed that the reason why he gets chances despite failures during RR’s matches is because of his having some sort of connections.

What hurts me the most is that people think I take it for granted, I have some connections or sources, and that’s absolutely horse****, I told you about my journey,” Parag said during an interaction with Cricket.com. He then added that the people from Assam have not played in the IPL but he promises he is going to play a lot. The 21-year-old also asserted that he doesn’t take things for granted.

Parag then claimed he has the craziest work ethic but only those close to him know about it. “All that goes unnoticed because I don’t brag about it on social media.” He further said that he doesn’t care what his critics’ assumptions are if they don’t know him. But he thinks performances for him don’t matter much as long as he is having fun and staying calm.
