Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Rohit Sharma was a happy man after his side registered its first win in IPL 2023. Mumbai defeated Delhi Capitals (DC) by six wickets in a thrilling contest on Tuesday after two consecutive defeats. Rohit Sharma was one of the three stars for Mumbai on the night. The MI captain played a match-winning knock of 65 (45) and provided a solid foundation for the finishers.

After pleasing the fans with his audacious shots on the ground, Rohit won the hearts of his fans after the match got over. The MI captain was seen interacting with his fans and signing autographs. Rohit also clicked pictures with his fans. Sharma burst into laughter as fans cheered animatedly after he clicked pictures with them.

Apart from Sharma, Tilak Varma, Ishan Kishan and Cameron Green made handy contributions. While Kishan was run out after scoring 31 off 26 balls, Varma perished after a well-made 41. Cameron Green then finished things off for MI with his 8-ball 17*.

Mumbai Indians (MI) could not start their IPL campaign as they would have planned as Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) thrashed the five-time champions. MI’s arch-rivals, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) also got the best out of the Rohit Sharma-led team as they beat MI by seven wickets.

It was then Rohit promised to come back stronger and lead from the front. “The senior guys need to step up starting with me,” Rohit had said after the defeat to CSK and the MI captain showed how it is done against DC. Sharma led MI’s charge in the tricky chase and scored a long-awaited half-century.
