Rohit Sharma and Co. locked horns with Afghanistan in the second T20I on Sunday (January 14) at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. And while India won the match with ease, Rohit became a talking point on social media for three reasons.

First, he departed for a golden duck, registering his second consecutive duck in the format. In the first match, after becoming a victim of a mix-up, Rohit headed back to the dressing room for a duck. In the second T20I, Fazalhaq Farooqi sent Rohit packing in the first over.

Then, after leading India to a six-wicket victory, Rohit has now won most T20I series as captain of Team India. And lastly, Rohit’s hilarious face became meme material. The skipper wore an expression of utter confusion while looking at something while fielding.

As soon as the picture of Rohit Sharma started surfacing on social media, fans started racking their brains to guess why Rohit looked so utterly confused.

And about the match, India won the toss and elected to bowl first. Afghanistan, with the help of Gulbadin Naib’s 57, posted 172 runs on the scoreboard in 20 overs.

India did not break a sweat as sixes and fours from Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shivam Dube ensured India an easy victory within 16 overs. Jaiswal scored 68 runs from 34 balls with five boundaries and six sixes, while Dube hit four sixes and five boundaries to score an unbeaten 63 runs from 32 balls. Virat Kohli also played a quick knock (29 off 16) by hitting five fours.

India have now won the series by winning the first two matches of the three-match T20I series. The third match is scheduled for Wednesday (January 17th) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
