No. The rumors of Sachin Tendulkar leaving Mumbai Indians (MI) as their mentor are fake. It’s the work of some social media users who started spreading such news after MI handed the leadership role to Hardik Pandya from Rohit Sharma.

On Friday (December 15), MI broke the shocking news and since then, netizens started spreading bizarre rumors, such as MI will trade Rohit to Chennai Super Kings (CSK) after the opening of the the trade window of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on December 20.

Tendulkar, who has been with the MI since his debut in IPL will still mentor the side in IPL 2024. He led the team from 2008 to 2011, and stepped down as skipper in 2012 before retiring from IPL in 2013 after winning the trophy under the captaincy of Rohit.
