Like all of those who saw what unfolded on Day 1 of the second Test between India and South Africa, Sachin Tendulkar was also left dumbfounded. A total of 23 wickets fell on Wednesday (January 3) at the Newlands Cricket Ground in Cape Town.
Tendulkar took to his X profile to share how surprised he was when saw the score after reaching home. He said he boarded a flight when the Proteas were 55 all out and after reaching home, he saw on TV that they lost three wickets.

After South Africa’s wickets fell like a pack of cards, it was India’s chance to lose wickets at quick intervals. And while India were losing wickets on a regular basis, Virat Kohli was somehow trying to save his wicket but was falling short of batters.
India were at 153/4, and soon they were 153/10. Surprisingly, without scoring a single run, they lost six wickets in two overs. Lungi Ngidi triggered the collapse when he sent three batters packing in the 34th over and in the next over, Kagiso Rabada continued the assault.

Australian spinner Nathan Lyon recently completed 500 Test wickets during the series against Pakistan on home soil. Ahead of the third Test in Sydney, Lyon was asked about the best batters he had played against in his career.

Lyon said he played against some of the greats of the game. He then revealed the names of the batters, and they are- Sachin Tendulkar, AB de Villiers, and Virat Kohli. He also spoke about how he struggled to get those three batters out.
