On 13th October, Shoaib Akhtar posted a photo of him celebrating getting Sachin Tendulkar bowled. In the caption he wrote, “Kal agar asa kuch karna hai to thand rakh” (If you want to do something like this, keep cool). After India beat Pakistan by 7 wickets on 14th, Sachin Tendulkar had a great reply to Shoaib’s tweet.
After India’s 8th World Cup victory, Sachin replied to Shoaib, “My friend, aap ka advice follow kiya aur sab kuch billlkoool THANDA rakha” (My friend we followed your advice and we kept everything cool). It was the first time anyone had seen Sachin Tendulkar ever being vocal, on or off the field. Known for his cool and composed demeanor, fans were in for a surprise as they saw his post.
India beat Pakistan by 7 wickets on 14th October. This was their 8th consecutive victory over their arch-rivals in the World Cup. Despite being 155-2, Pakistan were bundled for 191 runs thanks to a brilliant bowling performance by India. India chased down the target with 117 balls left.
Fans can’t believe the new side of Sachin Tendulkar
Sachin Tendulkar was always cool and respectful on and off the pitch. He was never a part of any on field fights and most of his teammates also called him humble and good natured. So imagine the shock of fans when Sachin decided to make fun of Shoaib Akhtar.
Fans enjoyed Sachin’s new side, with many cracking jokes on the tweet. Many fans compared the tweet to Sachin’s iconic performance against Pakistan in the 2003 ODI World Cup, where he had hit Shoaib Akhtar for 18 runs in his first over. Sachin scored 98 runs in that match while also being awarded the Man of the Match award.
