India A star Sai Sudharsan was given out of a controversial delivery by Pakistan A bowler Arshad Iqbal in the ongoing ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup final on Sunday (July 23) at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. His dismissal created a massive outrage on Twitter with netizens slamming the umpires for the mistake.

With Pakistan A putting a huge 352/8 on the scoreboard, India A needed to have a strong opening. Sudharsan was expected to shoulder that responsibility along with opening partner Abhishek Sharma.

However, in the ninth over, Arshad Iqbal delivered a short ball which Sudharsan attempted to pull only top-edged into Mohammad Haris who took a stunning catch. The umpire’s finger raised up but later, in replays, Iqbal seemed to have crossed the line while delivering the ball. But the third umpire deemed it a legal dismissal. Sudharshan could score 29 runs off 28 balls with four boundaries.
