Wasim Akram was one of the best players of his generation. The pacer is usually regarded as the best pacer, with his speed, accuracy and control over swing being lauded as the best in the world. While everyone agrees that he’s one of the best cricketers to grace the sport, Indian actor Sanjay Dutt believes he is the God of Cricket.
The two recently met in an event in Dubai, where they were the chief guests. Akram posted a photo of him and the cricketer, stating that he was happy to meet his old friend and how he was humble as ever. Akram even used to hashtag “kahlnayak,” referencing Dutt’s iconic film from 1993.

On the other hand, Dutt went on stage and declared that Akram was the God of Cricket. The title is usually given to Indian legend, Sachin Tendulkar, who is the highest run getter in Tests and ODIs.
I am honored to be here with Wasim Bhai. He is a brother I have known for many years and one of the greatest cricketers I have seen in my entire life. Wasim Bhai, God of Cricket, thank you. And his reverse swing, my God. Sab dar jate the (Everyone got scared).Sanjay Dutt on Wasim Akram
