He could be seen shaking his legs to Bollywood song ‘Om Shanti Om‘ from the movie of the same name. But his daughter seemed embarrassed to dance and at first she tried to move away from the camera’s frame. But eventually she joined the dancing party to another Bollywood song ‘Subha Hone Na De’.

Saurav Ganguly is credited for his aggressive captaincy that changed the face of the Indian cricket in a span of five-six years (from 2000-2005). He called off his interational career in 2008 while playing a four-match Test series against Australia at home, when he was still at his best. When he was interviewed by Times of India about his retirement, he said:

“I can tell you one thing about myself. I have never had regrets about anything in my life. If I retired after the series against Australia, it was at a time when I was on a high.
And you were talking about Test matches but just would like to remind you that I had scored nearly 1250 runs (1240 to be precise) in 2007 season, when I was dropped from the ODI side. I had 12 half-centuries that year in 50-over cricket.”

After he called it quits to his international career, he initially turned into a cricket commentator and eventually became the BCCI president.
