In match no 30 of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022, South Africa and India clashed to hold the topmost position in the group. Optus Stadium in Perth, Western Australia was the venue and Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bat first.
KL Rahul came to the crease with the intent of improvising his batting to gain some good form but went back to the pavilion at a low score of 9 from 14. Lungi Ngidi thrived against the top order with his short bowling and grabbed 4 wickets making an impact for the South Africans.
Surya Kumar Yadav continued his good form and remained the only batsman to score well in the Indian innings as he left the crease contributing a valuable 68 off 40 as India posted a total of 133 for the loss of 9 wickets.
In the bowling department, South Africa’s Wayne Parnell took 4 wickets along with Lungi Ngidi with Anrich Nortje taking a single wicket to their name. South Africa lost their opening pair to Arshdeep Singh as Bavuma disappointed once again.
Eventually, Aiden Markram was dropped by Virat Kohli on the boundary as he was on his way to a half-century and David Miller took the game to the end and registered a victory with 2 balls remaining. Miller has been in good form for a long time and South African fans will hope he continues the same.

Pakistan now has lower hopes of qualifying now since India lost to South Africa and fans weren’t hesitant to show that. Temba Bavuma and KL Rahul stayed consistent in this tournament with their low totals in the 3 matches they have played and it remained a talking point for fans on Twitter.
