It is a special moment for any Pakistani player to play World Cup for his country. We won’t have crowd support in India. In that sense, we’ll have to be very strong mentally. The way our players are, mentally strong, I think we’ll have a good tournament,” Shadab was speaking on the sidelines of The Hundred tournament in England.

The 24-year-old featured in the team when it defeated India for the first time at a World Cup match in the 2021 T20 World Cup in UAE. India have won all the matches in the ODI World Cup and leads with a 7-0 record.

Sarfaraz Nawaz joined the discussion of the India-Pakistan match and made a bizarre claim about Team India. Nawaz observed the current experiments carried out by the Indian management, of resting Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma for two matches in the recently concluded ODI series against West Indies, would destroy the team.

Nawaz said that many chopping and changes are happening in the Indian team, pointing out how the management changes the captains, then includes new players. And because of this, they cannot decide on any proper team combination. He opined that instead of development, it is only destroying the team.

Meanwhile, before the ODI World Cup, the two rivals will lock horns in the Asia Cup 2023 which is just a few weeks away. If they reach the next stage, then another clash of the rivals is expected.
