India Women’s power hitter Shafali Verma hit out at IndiGo airlines after she was denied entry in the plane. She took to Twitter to express her displeasure after being treated with rude behavior by the IndiGo airline staff.

The 19-year-old said that she was 25 minutes late before the departure time and that despite requesting a lot, she couldn’t grant permission to enter. She was in Delhi and booked a flight to Varanasi.

Delhi to Varanasi: I came 25mins before the departure time and we requested a lot, still I was denied entry. The staff’s behavior was very rude. #IndiGo this wasn’t a good experience.” Verma wrote on Twitter.

Shafali Verma is a part of the squad for the Asian Games

Most of the members of the Indian Women’s team are currently in India with no cricketing activities for a while. India vice-captain Smriti Mandhana is in England participating in The Hundred tournament. Shefali Verma was last seen in a bilateral series against Bangladesh.

But now she and others will join each other for the forthcoming Asian Games in Hangzhou, China where the tournament will be held between 19th September and 8th October at Zhejiang University of Technology Pingfeng Cricket Field. The matches will be played in a T20 format.
