Pace sensation Umran Malik made his debut in international cricket in the match against Ireland yesterday, on June 26. But what hogged the limelight was another pacer’s bowling speed. It was Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s first ball of the innings which got clocked at 201 kph, making it the fastest ball bowled in the history of cricket. The record was previously held by Pakistan’s Shoaib Akhtar whose record read 161.3 kph.
