Shreyas Iyer was spotted cheering for Team India during the SAFF Championship Final which India won against Kuwait after a penalty shootout. CSK bowler, Deepak Chahar‘s wife, Jaya Bhardwaj was also spotted sitting beside him during the match. The duo later shared glimpses from the match on their respective Instagram Stories.

Later visuals showed Deepak Chahar in the stands. The image instantly caught everyone’s attention and Iyer was under the radar yet again. Various rumors about Iyer and Yuzvendra Chahal‘s wife Dhanashree Verma have been going around for quite a while now and Iyer being spotted with another cricketer’s wife has brought him back in the news.

Shreyas Iyer was also spotted in the stands during the semi-final match of the SAFF Championship where Team India played Lebanon at the Kanteerava Stadium. Iyer is currently under the supervision of the NCA as he is still on the road to recovery from his back injury. His return to cricket anytime soon is unlikely.

Shreyas Iyer’s injury has made him miss a major amount of cricket since February, including IPL 2023 and the WTC Final. He is unlikely to return to the team any time soon since his recovery process is still on at the NCA in Bangalore.
