Shubman Gill celebrates back-to-back 100s in IPL 2023 with thirst-trap pictures
While Gill backed this match-winning knock with an impressive celebration, the GT batter celebrated it on social media by posting a thirst-trap picture.
Gujarat Titans (GT) opening batter Shubman Gill is in the form of his life as the 23-year-old has amassed 680 runs in 14 appearances for his team. Gill also slammed back-to-back 100s in IPL 2023. While it took him 87 matches to score his first IPL century, Gill scored another in the very next game. The GT opener scored a 52-ball 104* and took his team home against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
While Gill backed this match-winning knock with an impressive celebration, the GT batter celebrated it on social media by posting a thirst-trap picture. Gill posted a mirror selfie wherein he is half-naked, with only a towel on. Shubman himself wrote thirst trap in his caption.
With the GT batter sharing this picture, Gill’s timeline was filled with comments. While a few hailed Gill for his fit body, some noticed a 500-rupee note at the back of the cricketer’s smartphone.

After thrashing RCB, Gill ready to make Chennai sweat!
The Gujarat Titans batter was extremely pleased with his knock against RCB. Gill said that he is happy that these knocks are coming in the business end of the tournament. The 23-year-old also talked about being ready for the challenge against Chennai Super Kings. Notably, CSK and GT will lock horns in Qualifier 1 at Chepauk Stadium.
“I am in good form, it’s about getting a start and then converting it into a big one. In the first half of the IPL, I was missing out on those big ones. I was getting a lot of 40s and 50s. Thankfully, it’s all working out for me in the business end of the IPL,” said Gill.
“It’s going to be an exciting one, playing against Chennai in Chennai. We have got a great bowling attack for that wicket in particular and hopefully we’ll make it to the final for the second time,” the GT opener added.
