Vidhu Vinod Chopra recently set India cinema on fire as he released ’12th Fail’. The director, who directed movies like ‘Parinda’ and ‘Mission Kashmir’, made 12th Fail based on the life of IPS Manoj Kumar Sharma. While he receives praise for his brilliant cinema, his son is making a name for himself with great performances in the Ranji Trophy

Agni Chopra, who’s born in Detroit, Michigan, USA, plays for the Mizoram Cricket Team. He started off in Mumbai, even captaining the U-19 team of the Mumbai Cricket Team. Unable to break into the Mumbai team, the youngster shifted to Mizoram. After a mandatory one-year cooling off period set by the Mumbai Cricket Association, he could finally play for the state.

Making his debut for Mizoram in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, he scored 234 runs in seven innings. His maiden Vijay Hazare campaign didn’t fare well, managing only 174 runs, but he’s shown his skills in the Ranji Trophy.

Chopra scored his first twin centuries in Mizoram’s ongoing match with Meghalaya. In the first innings he scored 105 off 90 before being dismissed and in the 2nd innings he scored 101. As of now, he averages 98.88 in First Class cricket.
