SRH won the toss and decided to bowl first. RCB started by losing their top batsmen Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli, and Anuj Rawat in the second over off Marco Jansen’s brilliant deliveries. After a golden duck in RCB’s previous match, the former RCB skipper Virat Kohli was dismissed for another duck. He is for the first time got out on a duck twice in a season.

As all eyed Dinesh Karthik’s knock, even he faltered. T. Natarajan then grabbed three wickets of Glenn Maxwell, Harshal Patel, and Wanindu Hasaranga. Apart from Maxwell (12 off 11 balls) and Suyash Prabhudessai (15 off 20 balls), no batsmen in RCB could score double digit runs. 68 is the 6th lowest total in the history of IPL.

Even after RCB’s eight matches, Virat Kohli is not able to score big runs. He suffered two consecutive golden ducks. His previous came against Lucknow Super Giants three days back. In this IPL career, Kohli has been dismissed for a golden duck five times.

Earlier this week, after Virat Kohli’s first golden duck this season, former India head coach Ravi Shastri admitted that the 33-year-old really needs a break from cricket.

“I am going straight to the main guy here. Virat Kohli is overcooked. If anyone needs a break, it’s him,” Shastri told Star Sports on Tuesday.
“Whether it’s two months or a month and a half, whether it’s after the England (tour in July) or before England- he needs a break because has got six-seven years of cricket left in him and you don’t want that with a fried brain.”

Harsha Bhogle said on air after Kohli’s wicket: “Nothing is going right for the great man… oh, the fate that befalls the mightiest. Have we seen everything there is to be seen in this game?”
