The Men in Blue under Rohit Sharma will start their World Cup campaign in a match against Australia.
IND vs AUS
Around five months are left for India to host the 2023 ODI World Cup and the host nation will want to end their trophy drought by lifting the coveted cup. The last time the Men in Blue won a cup was in 2013, the Champions Trophy, under the captaincy of MS Dhoni.
India and Australia will be two of the main contenders to lift the cup. As always, predictions regarding matches have started. Delhi Capitals (DC) and Australian star all-rounder Mitchell Marsh was asked to make an ‘early prediction’ for the World Cup. He joked that Australia will post a whopping 450/2 and later, they will bowl out India for a mere 65 runs.
“Australia undefeated, defeating India. Australia 450/2 in the final, India all out 65,” Mitchell Marsh replied with a smile in the DC podcast. The star all-rounder has featured in eight DC games, scalping 10 wickets with the best figure being 4/27, at an economy of 7.87. Overall, he has played 37 IPL matches, bagging 34 wickets at an economy of 7.98.
