Steve Smith did not have the best outing in his 100th Test match. The Australian Test stalwart was dismissed cheaply in both innings of the third Ashes Test. While Smith managed a double-digit score (22) in the first inning, the 34-year-old could not even do that in the second innings. Smith was dismissed for only 2 as Moeen Ali took out the star batter.
As Smith tried to up the ante by taking on Ali, the bowler darted in a full-length delivery into the stumps and cramped the batter for room. As a result, Smith could only manage a mistimed flick shot into the hands of the mid-wicket fielder, Ben Duckett.
The batter was livid with himself and hence when Jonny Bairstow poked fun at Smith by saying “See ya, Smudge”, he lost his cool. Smith turned back and queried Bairstow about what he just said. “What was that, mate?!? HEY!” yelled Smith The England wicketkeeper was also up for the challenge as Bairstow replied, “I said ‘Cheers, see ya later!”.
All of this was recorded on the stump mic and the video of the two players getting engaged in a brief argument went viral on social media.

Despite a half-century from Ben Stokes and an interesting cameo from Mark Wood, England were bowled out for 237.
