If there could have been a fitting end to Stuart Broad’s Test career it could not have been better than him winning an Ashes game for his team by dismissing the last standing man. This is what dreams are made of and Broad would have had all the memories coming back when he dismissed Alex Carey in the fifth Ashes Test

Broad was roaring in delight knowing it would be his last ever in England whites. His teammates were also shouting with their hearts in their mouths when Broad dismissed the last sanding man of the opposition to win the fifth Test and level the series 2-2. It was an emotional moment for Broad and he lived it to the fullest.

He ran to hug his best partner, James Anderson. The 37-year-old with his white headband was not ready to let go of this moment. Broad was all red cheeks as he walked back to the pavilion with his hands up in the air. The spectators stood and applauded one of the greatest pacers. Emotions were flowing at The Oval.

Talking about the game, it was the perfect end to a thrilling Test series. After opting to bowl first, Australia bowled out England for 283. In reply, they got a 12-run lead but only to concede a massive 395 in the second innings. England then had to defend 383 which they successfully did, winning the match by 49 runs.

While Stuart Broad did play a crucial role by picking the last two wickets, Chris Woakes and Moeen Ali did the bulk of wicket-taking. While Woaked bagged a four-wicket haul, Ali got three wickets to throw Australia off the blocks. With this win, England drew the five-match Ashes 2-2.
