“Surya shining on Ravivar! “- England wins despite Suryakumar Yadav’s maiden T20I century

India locked-horns with England for the third T20I on July 10, at Trent Bridge, in Nottingham. The host played aggressively this time to avoid a whitewash from the visitor. India were already leading the match by 2-0 but England’s win turned it into 2-1.
England had scored a massive 215 runs with the help of Dawid Malan and Liam Livingstone‘s 77 runs and 42 runs respectively. India’s response didn’t come well as Rohit Sharma got out by scoring just 11 runs in 12 balls while other opening batter Rishabh Pant could score only one run. It was Reece Topley who did the early damage to India.
Virat Kohli’s lean patch continued and he scored just 11 runs off six balls before taking a long walk back to the stardium. But when Suryakumar came out to bat, fans saw something that they didn’t expect to see that time. Suryakumar Yadav scored his maiden ton in this match. He unleashed 14 fours and six sixes to score 117 runs off just 55 balls.
But India could score only 198 runs in their 20 overs. Topley had picked up three wickets while conceding three runs while David Wiley conceded 40 runs.

Indian captain was all prasie for Suryakumar Yadav’s maiden ton
“It thought it was a fantastic chase although we fell short. We are proud of the fight. Surya was magnificent to watch. I have been watching him for a while now. Loves this format, has wide range of shots. He has grown from strength to strength since we got him into the squad. They put us under pressure with their batting”- Rohit Sharma said during the post-match presentation.
“Good fun to play, fantastic game. I thought we had a slightly above-par score. Unbelievable innings from SKY. I thought Reece Topley bowled into the wicket and took pace off really well. It was pleasing to see Gleeson back up with another performance. It was good too. In the end, England could score 198 runs in their 20 overs,” England captain Jos Buttler said after the match.
