During India’s match with Australia in the 2023 ICC ODI World Cup, a video of Suryakumar Yadav eating his meal on the bench went viral. After a fan commented on how he shouldn’t sit on the bench and eat, Suryakumar gave a hilarious reply. 

In the video, Surya is seen eating his meal and when the camera focuses on him he stops eating and gives a quick glance to the camera. When he posted a tweet on India beating Pakistan in the 2023 ICC World Cup, a fan replied with that video with the caption, “Sir dugout mein baithke kya khate rehto ho, ground par jaake do chaar 6 maarke aao. (Sir, you eat in the dugout, go out and hit sixes).”

Suryakumar Yadav took notice of the post and he replied, “Order mereko nahi Swiggy pe de bhai”. He won over the hearts of fans with that reply, while others said the marketing for Swiggy was great by Surya.

Swiggy creates perfect caption for viral Suryakumar Yadav video 

The video of Suryakumar Yadav eating in the dugout went viral all over Twitter. With the video getting more and more viral, Swiggy decided to jump into the trend. They also posted the video of him and captioned it, “backbenchers eating tiffin during the 2nd period”.

The post has over a million views and 19K likes. Many fans cracked jokes related to the video as well, with many finding it relatable. A user spoke about how he was caught plenty of times when he was studying in school and college.

Suryakumar Yadav has not featured yet in the 2023 ICC ODI World Cup. He had played only one match in the 2023 Asia Cup and all three matches against Australia in a bilateral series, where he scored back to back fifties. Despite his poor numbers in ODIs, he was selected in the World Cup squad.
