Mumbai Indians’ Suryakumar Yadav ruled out of IPL 2022 after injury

Mumbai Indians batter Suryakumar Yadav ruled out of IPL’s rest of the matches due to a left forearm muscle injury on Monday.
He didn’t field in MI’s last game against Gujarat. The scan result has shown a muscle strain and Yadav has been advised to rest. So now, he won’t be available for MI’s next four games.
“Suryakumar sustained the injury during the team’s fixture against Gujarat Titans on May 6,” the IPL stated in a media release.
“Suryakumar Yadav has sustained a muscle strain on the left forearm and has been ruled out of the season. He has been advised rest in consultation with the BCCI medical team,” added Mumbai Indians in a separate statement.

Suryakumar Yadav has missed MI’s matches due to injury before
Even if Suryakumar Yadav has missed games and played 8 matches for MI this season, he has become the second-highest run-scorer for the franchise with his 303 runs with 3 half-centuries at an average of 43.23.
This season is not going well for the five-time champions as they have suffered eight consecutive losses in the opening matches are still languishing at the bottom of the points table.
And this is for the second time that he has been side-lined due to an injury. He had suffered from a hairline fracture while fielding in the third and final T20I against West Indies in February in Kolkata. He was undergoing rehab at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru, he had missed MI’s two matches.
He played his first game against Kolkata Night Riders on April 6. He was also the player of the match in MI’s maiden win in this tournament against Rajasthan Royals after their eight losses.
In this ongoing match against Kolkata Knight Riders today, Yadav is replaced by Ramandeep Singh.
