Record day for RR!
It was a special day for Rajasthan Royals (RR) as two of their players scripted history on Thursday. While Yuzvendra Chahal pipped Bravo to become the leading wicket-taker in IPL history, Yashaswi Jaiswal pipped KL Rahul in terms of scoring the fastest fifty in IPL history. Jaiswal reached his half-century in just 13 balls and became the batter with the quickest fifty. The batter then finished things off for RR too as he hit Shardul Thakur for a boundary. Jaiswal went back to the dressing room with an unbeaten 98* which he scored just 47 balls with the help of thirteen boundaries and five sixes.
On the back of Chahal’s (4/25) and Jaiswal’s blistering knock, RR defeated KKR by nine wickets and jumped to the third position in the points table. They now have 12 points from 12 games and the second-best Net Run Rate of 0.633.
