The wait is over! IPL 2024 schedule announced for first 21 matches
The last match of the partial schedule will be played on April 7.

On Thursday (February 22), the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) released a partial schedule for the Indian Premier League (IPL), starting March 22. Only the schedule for the first 21 matches is announced because the dates for the general election have not been released yet.
The first match will be played on March 22 between defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) led by MS Dhoni and Faf du Plessis-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). The last match of the partial schedule will be played on April 7. The final is expected to be played on May 26.
Like the 2022 and 2023 seasons, ten teams that will participate in the tournament are- CSK, RCB, Gujarat Titans, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders, Lucknow Super Giants, Mumbai Indians, Punjab Kings, and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
IPL 2024 schedule announced for first 21 matches
The opening match will start at 8 PM IST. The rest of the matches will start at 7:30 IST. On days with double-headers, the afternoon matches will begin from 3:30 PM IST. Also, there are four double-headers so far according to the released schedule.

CSK are the defending champions. They defeated the Gujarat Titans to win their fifth IPL trophy. GT defeated Rajasthan Royals to win their first trophy in IPL 2022.
