The Railway Minister of Andhra Pradesh announced a new system to detect if pilots of the train are distracted.

On 29th October, India had beaten England in the Ekana Stadium during the 2023 ODI World Cup. Putting up 229 in the first innings losing all wickets, India managed to win thanks to an excellent bowling performance. 

While the match was being played, tragedy struck in Andhra Pradesh. The Rayagada Passenger Train hit Visakhapatnam Palasa Train from the back in the Vizianagaram district of Andhra Pradesh. This saw the death of 14 people and injuries to over 50. An initial probe saw that the pilots were to be blamed for the accident, but it has now been confirmed.

Andhra Pradesh Railway Minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw, revealed that the pilot and co-pilot of the train were busy watching the match between India and England. They have now decided to install a system that could detect if a train pilot or-co-pilot get distracted. 

How India beat England in the 2023 ODI World Cup

India and England were facing off each other in the 2023 ODI World Cup. Electing to bowl first, the English bowlers ran through the Indian middle order. David Willey picked up three wickets, while Chris Woakes and Adil Rashid picked up two each. Rohit Sharma scored 87, while Suryakumar Yadav missed out on a half-century by one run. India finished the innings with 229 runs on the board.

Coming to bowl, India managed to win by 100 runs. Jasprit Bumrah struck early, picking up the wickets of Dawid Malan and Joe Root. Mohammed Shami enjoyed his time bowling, as the pace duo had taken two wickets each. 

Kuldeep Yadav joined in on the fun, taking the wickets of Jos Buttler and Liam Livingstone. Shami and Bumrah returned to finish the game off for India, with the two picking up 3 and four wickets respectively.
