India will commence its campaign from August 28 on Sunday against arch-rivals Pakistan in Asia Cup 2022. The contest will witness two of the greatest batters of the modern day era- Virat Kohli and Babar Azam.

While Azam has been in tremendous form, Kohli has been strugggling from prolonged lean-patch. He hasn’t scored a ton since November 2019. He is returning to action after a long break.

But Kohli was seen practicing hard before the Asia Cup as videos of his training has already gone viral on the internet. But apart from the hype of the upcoming Asia Cup 2022, there’s another moment which sent social media into a frency is the meeting of the two greats- Azam and Kohli ahead of India’s practice session in Dubai.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a video where the two swushbuckling stars could be seen exchanging pleasantries with each other.

Although, both Kohli and Babar are the rivals on the field, off the field, they have respect for each other and share a healthy relationship. When Kohli was struggling to stay at the crease due to his lean patch, Azam had supported him by sharing these words on Twitter: “This too shall pass. Stay strong. #ViratKohli.”

Kohli then replied him with, “Thank you. Keep shining and rising. Wish you all the best.”

India had faced its arch-rivals Pakistan in Dubai in last year’s T20 World Cup where Pakistan had won by 10 wickets. Shaheen Afridi, who was the star bowler during that match, has been ruled out of Asia Cup due to knee injury. Rohit Sharma-led Men in Blue will look forward to avenge the defeat while Azam’s team will want to repeat the T20 World Cup.
