England gave a target of 260 runs with the help of a combined batting performance. India, when everyone thought would lost the match, Rishabh Pant entered the ground and slammed a century, helping India win the three-match ODI series 2-1 by five wickets. The match was played on Sunday, July 17 at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester.

Indian team replied with openers Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan where the former scored 17 runs off 17 balls. But Dhawan could add just one run. Virat Kohli scored a 17-ball 22 with three fours before Reece Topley sent him back. Suryakumar Yadav also didn’t stay at the crease for long time as Craig Overton dismissed him when he was on 16 runs off 28 balls.
