India all-rounder Deepti Sharma was sold to UP Warriorz for a whopping Rs 2.6 crore at the Women’s Premier League (WPL) auction in Mumbai on Monday (February 13). She had a base price of Rs 50 and when her chance to go under the hammer came in, Delhi, Mumbai, and Gujarat started the bidding war. But UP beat them in the competition.

The 25-year-old is one of the star all-rounders in the world right now. She is great form right now and since 2021, she is the only player in the women’s cricket to amass 400 runs and 40 wickets in T20Is.

At the same time, she is also the second-highest wicket-taker for India in the shortest format. She just needs three more wickets to become the first Indian to scalp 100 wickets in T20Is. Deepti is also the second on the list of all-rounders in the ICC rankings and has 406 ratings points.
