Chasing down the target of 200 will be quite difficult for the Delhi Capitals (DC). Rajasthan Royals (RR) with the help of the knocks of three batters, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jos Buttler, and Shimron Hetmyer, put on a huge total of 199/4 in their 20 overs on Saturday (April 8) at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati.

After winning the toss, DC decided to bowl first. To open the innings, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler entered the field to give a great start to the innings just like they did in their other matches. Delhi bowlers had no answer in front of Jaiswal and Buttler who were unstoppable and easily stitched a 98-run stand in nine overs.

However, Jaiswal tried for a pull shot off Mukesh Kumar’s short ball which resulted in the bowler himself grabbing the catch to end the youngster’s innings. Jaisal batted at a huge strike rate of 193.55, scoring 60 runs from 31 balls, including 11 fours and a maximum.

Despite the wicket, RR’s run flow did not stop much, for Buttler was still at the crease, even at a time when skipper Sanju Samson and Riyal Parag could do less with the bats. But when Shimron Hetmyer entered the field, Rajasthan Royals again quickly started scoring runs.

However, during the penultimate over, Mukesh Kumar‘s yorker made Buttler play a shot and ended up giving the catch to the bowler. There was doubt whether the ball touched the ground first or not. Delhi Capitals

skipper David Warner took the review and the third umpire confirmed that it was out. Buttler exited the field after scoring 79 runs from 51 balls with 11 boundaries and a six, at a strike rate of 154.90.

Shimron Hetmyer remained unbeaten, scoring 39 runs from 21 balls, with four and four sixes, at a strike rate of 185.71, to take the Rajasthan Royals to 199/4 in their allotted 20 overs.
