Eng vs India

After the tie, India is locking horns with England in the 3rd ODI on Sunday, July 17 at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester, England. A combined batting effort saw England scoring 259. But India all-rounder Hardik Pandya also helped his side by restricting England to that score with his four-fer.

India won the toss and decided to bowl this time. England’s start wasn’t a good one as they lost of the opener on duck. It was Jonny Bairstow who got out after playing three ball on duck. The next batsman Joe Root also didn’t spend time at the crease as he was also the one to get dismissed on duck. Mohammed Siraj was the bowler to dismiss these huge wickets in the same over which also a maiden one.

Ben Stokes played 29 balls to score 27 runs but England captain Jos Buttler had steadied their innings. He scored 60 runs off 80 balls with three fours and two sixes. But Hardik Pandya turned the table when he delivered a short ball that did the trick. The ball went off the top edge towards the deep mid-wicket. Ravindra Jadeja scampered to his left and takes it with a dive.

Moeen Ali played a knock of 34 runs off 44 balls before Jadeja dismissed him after firing on the middle. The ball had gone off the glove and India wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant grabbed good catch.

Liam Livingstone played a knock of 27 runs off 31 balls and Pandya’s short ball did the magic again. Livingstone looked to pull it but it went towards Jadeja at the square leg and Jadeja doesn’t leave a catch. Jadeja had to keep his balance as he was just ahead of the ropes.

Now, it was Craig Overton who, also played a quickfire when he scored a quick 32 runs off 33 balls but Yuzvendra Chahal handled him with his full ball. Overtin cleared his front leg and smashed it down the ground towards long-off. He couldn’t get the desired distance and Virat Kohli was there to catch it easily.

Pandya picked four wickets while Chahal scalped three.
