“What a boring match”- Twitter reacts as Krunal Pandya leads bowling charge to help LSG restrict SRH to a paltry total
This match can be one of the one-sided matches of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Krunal Pandya
If Lucknow Super Ginats (LSG) does no mistake, then undoubtedly, they will win the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) without breaking a sweat. All SRH could put on the board was a paltry total of 121/8 in the allotted 20 overs on April 7, at the Ekana Sports City in Lucknow.
After winning the toss, SRH skipper Aiden Markram decided to bat first. But this decision of batting first did them no good. To open the innings Anmolpreet Singh and Mayank Agarwal entered the ground, giving the team a decent start. But Agarwal’s knock was restricted by Krunal Pandya whose flighted ball gave an easy catch to Marcus Stoinis.
It was Anmolpreet’s chance to depart to the dugout off Pandya’s delivery. Anmolpreet scored the second-highest run for the Orange Army, scoring 31 runs from 26 balls with three fours and a six.
Captain Aiden Markram, who played for the first time as a captain, was sent into packing by Pandya for a golden duck on the next delivery. And slowly SRH started losing wickets one by one. But Rahul Tripathi held on to the crease, however, could do very less. He took 41 balls to score just 34 runs, with four boundaries, before he was dismissed by Yash Thakur.
