“Lousy wicket in match”- Twitter reacts as LSG don’t break a sweat to win a low-scoring match against SRH

LSG vs SRH
It was a walk in the park for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) who won a low-scoring match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Friday (April 7) at the Ekana Sports City in Lucknow. LSG did not break a sweat while chasing down a 122-run target where Krunal Pandya emerged as Player of the Match for his contribution in both the batting and bowling department.
Chasing the target, LSG opener Kyle Mayers and KL Rahul walked in. However, Fazalhaq Farooqi did not let the dangerous Kyle Mayers play another scintillating knock. Farooqi’s short ball did the job for the SRH when Mayers attempted to pull it straight but ended up giving a catch to Mayank Agarwal.
Skipper KL Rahul played a slow knock of 35 runs from 31 balls with four boundaries. During both innings, fans on Twitter started questioning if the Lucknow pitch was suitable for a T20 match or not. It was the same pitch that Gujarat Titans skipper Hardik Pandya, when he led India in a T20I match, called a “shocker of a pitch“.

Batters were finding it hard to bat. Krunal Pandya however, with the bat, scored 34 runs from 23 balls, before Umran Malik’s length ball gave a catch to keeper Anmolpreet Singh. Marcus Stoinis’ 10 off 13 and Nicholas Pooran’s 11 off six were enough to drive LSG to an easy five-wicket victory.
After this match, LSG will face Faf du Plessis-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Monday (April 10), while SRH will be locking horns with Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Sunday (April 9). With this win, LSG reached the top of the points table, but SRH, who faced defeat in the two matches they have played so far, are at the bottom of the points table.
