“Freaking unstoppable”- Twitter reacts as Rohit Sharma, Dinesh Karthik star with the bat to help India crush West Indies by 68 runs

India defeated West Indies by 68 runs in the first match of the five-match T20I series to get an upper hand of 1-0 lead. The match took place on Friday, July 29 at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad. India skipper Rohit Sharma and finisher Dinesh Karthik’s brilliant innings helped the Men in Blue in setting up a huge score of 191 after India were asked to bat first.
When Windies openers Kyle Mayers and Shamrah Brooks took the crease, both of them didn’t stay much longer as Mayers, who seemed aggressive from the start departed after a knock of 15 runs off six balls with two fours and a six. Arshdeep Singh was the bowler to dismiss him with his short ball before give him a victorious stare. Mayers didn’t pick it up and the ball too the top edge before falling towards mid-wicket and Bhuvneshwar Kumar there caught.
After Mayers, Ravindra Jadeja dismissed Jason Holder on duck. Brooks was the next batter who went back after Bhuvneshwar’s second delivery of his over. Brook tried to heaved the length ball but he missed and the ball went thrugh to rattle the stumps.
Ravichandran Ashwin, when he came to bowl in the ninth over, bowled a flatter and quicker ball and Windies skipper Nicholas Pooran tried to cut it but it got an outside edge and keeper Rishabh Pant made no mistake behind the stumps.
Rovman Powell became a victim of Ravi Bishnoi’s quicker, flatter and googly delivery. The ball rattled into the middle stump.
Shimron Hetmyer scored 14 runs off 15 balls with a four and a six and Ashiwn didn’t allow him stay at the crease any longer. Akeal Hosein and Keemo Paul scored 11 runs and 19 runs respectively. In their 20 overs, they could only add 122 runs.
Arshdeep, Ashwin, and Bishnoi picked two wickets each while Bhuvneshwar and Jadeja could scalp one wicket each.
